Bailey Partnership is an award winning consultancy practice looking to recruit a Graduate Civil and Structural Engineer to join our expanding Exeter team.
Established in 1971 and operating from 10 offices across the South of England, East Midlands & Manchester, we are a Building Top 150 consultancy offering Architectural, Interior Design, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Fire Engineering, Project Management, Civil & Structural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, and Town Planning services.

As a Graduate Civil and Structural Engineer, you will work on a wide range of projects in a number of sectors including industrial, housing (from individual properties to large developments), marine, drainage, schools and leisure. Each project will bring unique problems that we have to define, consider and resolve and each day can bring new work and new challenges. In return, we support our staff with training whilst at the same time giving them the freedom to work directly with clients. In particular, we support career development under the ICE and IStructE training schemes.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Be a talented and enthusiastic individual
* Have an accredited MEng or BEng in civil and/or structural engineering.
* Be committed to delivering high end projects to BIM Level 2, so knowledge of BIM and previous use of Revit/3D software is an advantage, but not essential
* Have the ability to work well in a team environment with colleagues across different disciplines and offices
Key Duties:
* Generally working with the team and assisting staff both in the office and at site visits
* Be prepared to work on a diverse range of projects including industrial, MOD, commercial, residential and healthcare.
* Collect information from inspections or visits to buildings, land and construction sites
* Production and checking of project documentation, design calculations, drawings, etc.
* Meet with other professionals, clients, customers and others to obtain and provide information relating to land, property or construction
* Production and editing of drawings and 3D models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Civils 3D and Flow.
* Be prepared to undertake and maintain necessary training to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation & regulations
* Manage work tasks relating to the area of practice
* Assisting with administration duties where required
* Ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
