Job overview
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographical area which encompasses the Furness peninsula, the city of Lancaster and the Lake District. We provide a comprehensive range of acute and support hospital services to a population of 350,000 based around Morecambe Bay.
The Westmoreland General Hospital, Operating Theatre Department comprises of six operating theatres, undertaking a variety of elective surgical specialties such as Breast, Max Fax, Ophthalmics, Urology, General and Orthopaedics.
Main duties of the job
We are delighted to offer a suitably qualified and experienced Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner the opportunity to join our Leadership Team to support and manage established multidisciplinary teams as an Ophthalmic Clinical Leader within the theatre team.
You will have Leadership responsibilities for a Theatre Team, a designated theatre and be allocated other management duties. You will provide effective leadership and support to all grades of staff, work within the multidisciplinary teams and undertake the role of the clinical coordinator as required.
