We are looking for caring and committed individuals to join our healthcare assistant team supporting the team at Witney Community Hospital, Wenrisc Ward.
The role will be 37.5 hours per week and shifts will cover 7 days per week including early, late and nights. Part-time hours could also be agreed, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
Full training and support will be provided.
Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be instrumental in assisting the teams to meet the changing needs of the patients, provide personal care, assist in individual patient monitoring and be a patient advocate.
Your commitment to providing excellent care at the place of the individual patient or ward need will demonstrate your patient-focused approach. Working across wards in a range of shifts, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, will develop your skills and knowledge in a variety of patient specialities and ensure that the role is very rewarding.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Good level of numeracy and literacy skills – willingness to undertake assessment
* Core IT skills
* NVQ Level 3 in Health Care

* Enthusiasm to work with people and promote a therapeutic environment
* Caring attitude
* Ability to work as part of a team
Knowledge & Experience
* Previous experience of working in a clinical/rehabilitation or equivalent setting
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Experience of Patient observations, cannulation, phlebotomy catheterisation, simple dressings
