We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic individual to take on the role of Senior Theatre Scrub Practitioner to provide leadership, management, and support to the Surgical scrub team leader. This role is responsible for the provision of patient care, ensuring that it is evidence-based and of a high standard, and to maintain 24-hour responsibility for the clinical area.
We currently have nine surgical suites specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, HANS, Ear Nose & Throat, Dental, and Max-fax. The successful candidates must demonstrate enthusiasm, empathy, professionalism, and a caring attitude with a friendly bedside manner.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure that patients receive the necessary care and treatment intraoperatively and postoperatively. This will be achieved through the application of specialist knowledge, skills, and practice.
This role requires close working relationships with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, including Consultants, Deputy Chief Nurse, Head of Nursing, Matrons, and junior members of the team. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations in a fast-paced environment professionally and calmly.
Successful candidates will be Registered Nurses and must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a very high standard of patient care.
