An exciting opportunity has arisen within Halton’s Fostering Service as we are seek to recruit an experienced Team Manager to our family. As a Team Manager, you will be expected to manage a small team of social workers and support workers in the recruitment, assessment, support, supervision and training of foster carers who work within the Fostering Service. The role will also consist of monitoring performance and work within the Council’s policies and procedures, within appropriate regulatory and legal frameworks. Our Service has a commitment to working closely with our foster carers and with Children’s social work Teams across the division, ensuring that our cared for children experience stability and achieve permanence in a timely way and that all cared for children are well supported to maximise their life chances. We have a stable and experienced Senior Leadership Team, who lead from the front. The Head of Service, Service Manager and Team Manager are well established staff members in Halton, who are supportive and nurturing. You will receive bespoke support from the Social Work Academy who are integral in supporting this team in our improvement journey, providing advice, guidance and support to colleagues in this service area from your first day.
