Community and Centre Manager
About Us:
Peterborough Women’s Aid was formed in 1975. The organisation has grown since that time providing not only safe and secure accommodation to women and children escaping domestic abuse, but also provides specific an Advice Line Services and Outreach.
We currently have an opportunity for a Community and Centre Manager to join Peterborough Women’s Aid.
You will manage our Women’s Centre, Anne’s House in Peterborough. You will be responsible for groups, events and partnership working. You will manage the staff and volunteers based at the Centre and work alongside our co-location colleagues.
We are looking for an experienced manager who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of victims of abuse.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* To ensure that all work by community staff is carried out in line with Peterborough Women’s Aid Case Management Policy
* To act as the designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the CEO and make safeguarding decisions.
* To facilitate team meetings and reflective practice sessions.
* To line manage community staff. This includes monthly supervision, daily welfare checks, approving expenses and identifying development needs.
* To be responsible for room bookings at our Women’s Centre, Anne’s House
* To ensure that community staff and volunteers are working within PWA policies
* To cover for community staff and work directly with clients when needed.
* To work within the PWA values
