Job Description:
The Environmental Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the airline’s sustainability initiatives. This position involves analysing, working with multiple teams to collate and interpret environmental data related to fuel efficiency, external reporting requirements, and other relevant metrics. The analyst will also contribute to shaping requirements, automating processes, and ensuring compliance with legislative developments.
In addition, the Environmental Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the Group data and IT teams to manage data and reporting requirements across the entire airline. The primary focus will be on data management and integration, ensuring that multiple data sources are effectively utilised and are future-proofed for environmental reporting and performance management.
This role will also develop strong stakeholder relationships with teams across TUI Airline, the Group Sustainability team, and relevant finance and reporting teams. The role will be responsible for delivering and maintaining robust reporting, analysis, and MI, and will be critical in supporting all sustainability activities required to meet ISO 14001 certification, Science Based Target Initiative, as well as other aviation-related reporting requirements.
*Applications close on 28th June*
** This role can be based in one of our offices in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, or Sweden**
About the Role
Given the importance of fuel efficiency within the airline’s sustainability agenda, fuel reporting requirements will form an important part of the role and will require collating, analysing, and reporting of fuel efficiency data across the airline’s operations. It will also include identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement such as collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate optimisation opportunities.
The Environmental Data Analyst will also stay informed regarding multiple external reporting requirements, as well as work with other data teams to prepare accurate and timely reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders, along with ensuring compliance with environmental disclosure guidelines.
The role will also look to evaluate existing environmental reporting practices and identify gaps in data collection and reporting, as well as propose and implement solutions to enhance data accuracy and completeness. As part of these reporting practices, the role will need to adapt data processes to meet evolving legal requirements. Managing multiple data sources, ensuring data quality and consistency is also key. The Environmental Data Analyst will take an active role in shaping data requirements and will collaborate with TUI Group and Airline teams to develop new tools for data analysis where required including implementing automation solutions.
In addition, the role will monitor industry labelling initiatives related to environmental impact (e.g., carbon labelling), assess the airline’s compliance with labelling standards and collaborate with the wider sustainability team for any labelling data practices.
