Job summary We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapistwho shares in our vision of the 'home first' approach. You will have the opportunity to work in a large MDT to deliver a 2-hour response as part of the National Urgent Care Response targets. Our aim is to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and prevent avoidable Emergency Department attendances by an integrated multidisciplinary approach stabilising patients within the place they call home. The OBI team is a therapy service providing assessment and treatment to complex patients. The role will be predominantly crisis response work within a patient's own home, including falls response however there will be some opportunity for short term rehab where required. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously and have post grad experience preferably with older adults and acute medicine/falls. You will have excellent communication skills, time management skills with the ability to prioritise and problem solve. You will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by having responsibility for the supervision of junior staff and students. This is a 7-day service including bank holidays and weekends: 1 weekend every month on average. The shift patterns are 08:00 -16:00 and 11:00 - 19:00hrs, late shifts on average are 1 week every 3 weeks, this can change dependent on the service development/needs. To be part of the falls rota in conjunction with Dudley Clinical Hub to provide falls response with lifting equipment.
