I am seeking a Chartered Accountant for a well-established client in the centre of Halifax town.
The role of a chartered accountant includes:
1. Managing financial systems and budgets
2. Conducting financial audits and providing advice
3. Liaising with clients to offer financial information and guidance
4. Reviewing company systems and assessing risk
5. Testing to verify financial information and systems
6. Advising on tax planning within current laws to minimize tax liability and addressing tax-related issues in business activities like acquisitions and mergers
7. Keeping accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for small businesses
8. Consulting on business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
9. Guiding clients on business improvement or insolvency matters
10. Detecting and preventing fraud
11. Supervising junior staff
12. Working with internal and external auditors to address financial irregularities as they occur
13. Generating reports and recommendations post-audits
14. Preparing financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts
15. Organizing financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
16. Consulting on tax and treasury matters
17. Negotiating terms with suppliers.
Candidates must be suitably qualified.
