About the Role The Director of Bars is the business leader of the Chancery Rosewood's bars and directly responsible for creating an innovative, world class bar program across the property. The role oversees the Rooftop Bar directly and will work collaboratively with all outlet head of department to train associates and implement unique menus for each dining outlet, events, and special activations Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of our bars, ensuring service standards are delivered according to Rosewood standards, Strive to improve service performance and provide constructive feedback by continuously reviewing audit and mystery shopper results. Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage menu items and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations, up sell alternatives, and provide training and main-tain knowledge. Understand the impact of department's operation on the overall hotel financial goals and objectives Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. Monitor actual and projected sales on daily basis by reviewing meal period covers, room capture ratios and average check to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded, identifies and addresses op-portunities as needed Ensure that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations g are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information Support and assist with new concepts and promotions. Provide feedback on menu sales trends to the Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef. Work closely with other Outlet Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the over-all success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Manage incentive programs for upselling and marketing promotions. Manage the booking system and guest table allocation and guests' profiles in close liaison with the F&B Reservations department. Monitor bar maintenance and report any issues and repairs that may need to be carried out Assist in conducting monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies. Manage and conduct the recruitment and selection process for the bar teams. Use all available on the job training tools for associates, supervises on-going training initiatives and conducts training when appropriate. About you Minimum of 4 years of experience managing luxury bars. Multi-unit experience preferred. Passion for experiencing food and beverage offerings to stay up to date on industry trends and innovations Personable, empathetic leader who enjoys building cohesive teams Solving problems in an efficient and respectful manner is an integral part of who you are.
