About Weston Park Care Home
Weston Park is a residential and nursing home located on the outskirts of Macclesfield Town situated in a quiet residential area. The home is accessible via a main bus route and easily accessible from the Leek and Congleton Roads.
Weston Park provides a variety of care for 102 residents over three units. Mulberry and Waterside units provide nursing with dementia care and Weaver unit provides general nursing care. The home requires Care Assistants for days and nights to join the qualified and well-trained team to provide 24-hour care.
Role of a Care Assistant:
To support the delivery of care for service users at the home ensuring that all care needs are met in a timely manner with due regard to privacy, dignity, respect, and rights of each service user in the home. Shifts are from 8 am - 8 pm and 8 pm - 8 am. We do not have early or late shifts available.
Responsibilities of a Care Assistant:
* To provide personal care and support to Service Users using a person-centered approach under the direction of Senior staff within the home.
* To know and understand the care and support of the Service Users.
* To encourage independence and maintain Service Users skills and abilities in all aspects of daily living where possible.
* To assist Service Users getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
* To assist Service Users to wash, bathe, and shower.
* To assist Service Users to dress and undress.
* To assist Service Users to look after their skin, teeth, hair, and nails.
* To assist Service Users with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene.
* To assist Service Users with their nutritional needs and cultural requirements.
* To help maintain a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for colleagues and Service Users.
* To ensure the facility and all furnishings are clean and tidy at all times.
* To carry out cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
* To use manual handling equipment safely and use correct techniques.
* To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with Service Users and their family.
* To help the Service Users to maintain contact with their family and friends.
* To accompany the Service Users on trips into the community when required.
* To act as a Key Worker for an identified Service User.

* NVQ L2 Health and Social Care Adults - £11.75 p/h
* No NVQ - £11.50
