We are looking for a dynamic, talented female teacher of Girls’ PE to join our PE team. You will have a passion for learning and teaching in PE together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students.
The students enjoy PE. PE is a popular subject at the Academy with examination classes at KS4 and A level PE taught as part of the joint Sixth Form. There are also opportunities for specialist PE teaching in the primary phase of the academy. We have fantastic facilities and are proud of the tradition of extra-curricular performance including sport teams, Duke of Edinburgh and trips abroad.
Oasis Academy Hadley is an inclusive all-through, 2 to 18 academy that is committed to giving children the best possible education. High-performing and continuously improving, we have recently moved into a new building and have state-of-the-art facilities.
The Academy’s students make good progress exceeding or equalling national averages. Each year around 95% of our students progress to university with 64% going to Russell Group universities following a wide range of courses. A joint Sixth Form operates between Oasis Academy Hadley and Oasis Academy Enfield. Strong teamwork is being developed between Sixth Form teachers across the schools and this includes the sharing of best practice and resources and joint moderation.
We are committed to providing staff with high-quality professional development. Mid-week masterclasses run by experienced colleagues focusing on Academy priorities are available to all teachers. We hold middle and senior leadership courses run by the Institute of Education UCL, open to all staff who want to develop their skills in their current role or look towards the next step in their career. The induction of new staff is important. We have a tailored programme for staff in training which is tailored to meet their needs. All newly qualified staff are allocated an experienced subject mentor who will meet them regularly and support them as they settle into the Academy, as well as the Induction Tutor who is responsible for supporting newly qualified teachers in successfully completing their induction year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or an experienced teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of young people. You will join a friendly and supportive team which strives to ensure that all students enjoy their learning and surpass expectations of achievement. If you wish to grow professionally with our Academy, join us and become part of the team developing an Outstanding academy.
Outside the classroom, extra-curricular activities provide enrichment opportunities for our students. The work of the Academy is supported by the Oasis Hub Hadley, which provides integrated, high-quality services that benefit students and their families.
