A small team who are responsible for all learning and development initiatives across Bauer Media Publishing in London and Peterborough. This team also sits alongside and collaborates on a regular basis with the Publishing HR team. We are always looking to support with upskilling and ensuring career growth across teams within the business.
Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.
The focus of the role:
To support the Head of People Development with the administration and coordination of all training and development offerings for our employees.
This role comes with a hybrid way of working which means you’ll be required to attend our Peterborough office at least twice per week, and the rest working from home. You may also get the opportunity to visit our London office when required for training events that need support on.

Main Responsibilities:
* Take ownership and prepare all pre/post training event administration which will include tasks such as; updating attendee lists (before and after training), email/prints of handouts, liaising with HR PA for refreshments needed.
* Manage and administer the training invitation process (Outlook/Excel)
* Create, update and maintain the central employees training database
* Support with content creation for training (PowerPoint)
* Attend and support on any regular training needs analysis meetings
* Support and drive community outreach projects within the local areas (including schools, colleges, universities)
* Drive and administration of our work experience programme in Publishing
* Take part in cultural champions initiatives
* Support with the mentoring programme in Publishing UK, including tracking mentors and mentees and the contracts that are agreed
* Support the wider publishing business with the administration of other events where appropriate (Quarterly Publishing Welcome Week Onboarding Event)
What you will bring:
* Strong attention to detail with a process-focused approach to tasks
* Ability to make decisions independently
* Friendly, warm, approachable manner
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* A willingness to learn and apply new skills
* Great organisational skills
