Key responsibilities include:
* Oversee daily operation of the cafe bar, ensuring efficient services and adherence to health and safety regulations
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of cafe bar staff, including scheduling training and performance management
* Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, prompting professional growth and development
* Provide exceptional customer service and ensure all staff do the same, handle customer inquiries, complaints and feedback professionally
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimising waste
* Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and presented to the highest standards
* Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction
* Manage the cafe bar budget, controlling costs and maximising profits
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe bar, ensuring all areas meet Bannatyne's high standards, conduct regular checks on equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance issues to the relevant department
* Handling cash transactions, managing tills and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained
* Assist in planning and executing promotional activities to attract members and increase sales
Requirements include:
* Proven experience in a cafe or management role within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
* L2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
* Strong leadership and team management abilities
* Good financial acumen and experience with budget management
* Knowledge and experience of health and safety regulations
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
* Proactive and results driven, highly organised with a strong attention to detail
* Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and strong problem solving skills
