At Gregory Distribution Ltd, we are currently seeking a Transport Operator for our site in Haverfordwest. This position will be working within the transport team and will involve all aspect of the transport administration processes and coordination of the day to day running of this busy contract.
The position of Transport Operator involves:
* Assist the management team to manage and motivate the drivers to ensure that staff and assets are used effectively to attain maximum performance in terms of commercial contract efficiency, profit and client service levels.
* Own the day to day running of the milk operation, including despatching the routes on time, monitoring work in progress and debriefing drivers.
* Own the day to day running of the TMS, APEX system (Haverfordwest Only) and the milk app processes aligned to these, to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
* To ensure that GDL and customers' paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Maintain good working relationships with, and between, drivers and customers (including farmers) to ensure that any problems arising are handled amicably and through correct channels.
