Join us in this role where you’ll track evolving energy industry trends, data and advise senior leaders on the critical implications for our renewable portfolio design and investment strategy. In this newly created role, you'll analyse a range of key drivers shaping the energy system across our current and potential countries of operation, incl. energy and power demand, investment trends shaping customer and competitor behaviour, and patterns of technological innovation across the energy complex. You’ll also help disseminate the insights across the organisation.

You’ll be part of Macro and Market Outlooks where you, together with your colleagues, incl. our Strategic Portfolio Management, Market and Investment Support, Finance, Risk and Trading functions, will support our leadership teams to realise our vision and strategy through the design and execution of our investment portfolio. We seek to maximise enterprise value through the optimal deployment of our capital and resources, while balancing financing and wider constraints. We guide the practical realisation of these objectives, incl. reviewing our development projects, to ensure robust value creation and strategic alignment.
As a team, we are curious, questioning, highly customer centric and able to cope with complexity and ambiguity. We support each other, regularly collaborating to share know how and develop internal capabilities through the formation of interdisciplinary project teams, including talent drawn from wider teams across the organization. You will be closely supported by our chief economist to develop your analytical and strategic advisory skills, and develop the systems and processes required to support the execution of the function going forward.
You’ll play an important role in:
1. following energy, power and renewable industry demand developments, incl. customer, policy, supplier and competitor related factors from both internal and external sources
2. analysing, interpreting, and extracting key takeaways related to energy, power and renewable industry developments across core markets as well as globally
3. analysing and communicating the relevance of major trends for future profit pools, incl. key risks and opportunities
4. summarising key insights and organisational implications, driving dialogue with market and commercial, technology, supply chain, and other subject matter experts across our countries of operation
5. preparing energy industry update reports, pipeline assessments, costs analysis, and associated scenario evaluations.
To succeed in the role, you:
1. are analytical and skilled in handling large amounts of information and uncertainties, with the ability to translate data into insights
2. possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work well with teams across cultures and geographies, and find creative ways to communicate complex information effectively
3. are able to solve problems and have a proactive, pragmatic, innovative, and creative mindset
4. have a curious and collaborative approach and enjoy bringing together skills and insights from diverse teams
5. have a master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or other quantitative discipline
6. have experience working in energy demand forecasting, market, or supply chain intelligence, industry supply and cost fundamentals, or data platform management.
