Reporting to the Account Controller the role is to head up the designated Customer Account/Accounts which involves responsibility for delivering the volume, profitability (GM/L and EBITDA), management and coordination of a direct and business-wide cross functional team, ensuring optimum performance, providing customer focus whilst generating sustained, profitable growth and forging stronger business partner relationships.
The NAM will co-ordinate the activities required to meet company quality standards whilst always demonstrating the company values and behaviours.
Customer/Joint Business Plans (JBPs): Develop and implement customer JBPs with support from the Account Controller, ensuring progress is monitored and aligned with business goals.
Collaborative Leadership: Work alongside the Commercial Controller to achieve business unit objectives, building strong customer relationships to drive successful plan implementation.
Project Management: Own specific project work, facilitating the development of new business opportunities while optimizing costs and ensuring the effective management of customer expenditure.
Sales and Forecasting: Customer Service Excellence: Drive exceptional customer service (99.5% ex-factory average) and ensure timely responses to customer inquiries.
Monitor competitor activity, analyze sales data, and provide valuable insights to drive business performance.
Mentoring & Coaching: Lead by example, mentoring and coaching internal colleagues, particularly the Supply Analyst, to enhance account management and communication skills.
A minimum of 3 years at a National Account Manager level or in an equivalent customer-facing role.
FMCG Knowledge: A strong understanding of FMCG operations is highly desirable.
Project Management Skills: Proven experience working with general project management principles.
Customer Focused: You are customer-centric, with a track record of building lasting customer relationships and driving results.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
