Are you ready to join the UKIE Specialty Care Medical team and make a lasting impact? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Operations Manager to join our team in the UK. You could be the person responsible for overseeing and optimising medical operations processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the delivery of high-quality medical affairs initiatives.

Main responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate medical operations activities, including Medical Affairs studies, externally-sponsored studies, RMMs, expanded access programmes.
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with UK and EU regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align medical operations with overall business goals and strategies.
* Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for medical operations projects.
* Manage relationships with external vendors and contract research organisations (CROs) and adhere to relevant regulatory requirements.
* Mentor a team of medical operations professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Examine and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to medical operations.
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in medical operations and assure audit- and inspection-readiness.
* Enterprise leadership beyond function essential.
About you
* Life sciences, pharmacy or related field degree, advanced degree (MSc, PhD preferred).
* Significant, demonstrable experience in medical operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong knowledge of UK and EU regulatory requirements for medical affairs and clinical research.
* Excellent project management skills, leadership experience, interpersonal skills and problem solving.
* Able to think and plan strategically, collaborate across peer groups and be adaptable.
