We are recruiting for a part-time Employer Partnership Co-ordinator. The postholder will play a pivotal role in enhancing the offer to young people supported by our Youth Employment Service. The role will develop relationships with local employers who have a commitment to support young people through employer insights, workplace experiences and interactions. The position will also guide businesses in creating recruitment strategies that enhance young people's initial contact with their organisation, ultimately leading to successful and sustained employment outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
Employer Engagement & Networking:
1. Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses to create opportunities for young people, including internships, job shadowing, and workplace visits.
2. Network with employers to understand their needs, skills gaps, and the types of opportunities they can provide to young people.
3. Organise and coordinate employer-led workshops, career talks, and industry insight sessions to provide young people with valuable exposure to various career opportunities.
4. Work with the Events & Fundraising Manager to help businesses understand wider support opportunities and how they can contribute to the Charity's mission beyond direct engagement with young people.
5. Attend events on behalf of the Charity to promote Inspire+.
6. Tailor and deliver presentations to various external stakeholders and external groups to promote Inspire+.
Youth Support and Development:
1. Collaborate with our Post 16 projects team to identify young people who would benefit from employer engagement programs.
2. By offering industry insights, provide guidance and support to young people, helping them navigate their career options and develop essential employability skills.
3. Link young people’s aspirations with the identified skills gaps of employers to create meaningful employment opportunities.
Recruitment Strategy Advisory:
1. Assist businesses in developing youth-friendly recruitment strategies that attract and engage young talent.
2. Offer support to employers on best practices for recruiting, onboarding and retaining young employees.
3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Programme Co-ordination/Administration:
1. Plan and execute events, workshops, and initiatives that promote employer engagement and youth development.
2. Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant progress, and employer partnerships.
3. Report on programme outcomes and impact, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
