What can I achieve and what will I be accountable for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?
You will join the UK Demand and Replenishment team with assignments to plan and execute demand and supply strategies and tactics in partnership with commercial teams.
Accountable for demand forecasting, co-leading Sales & Operation Planning process, product change management, inventory planning, and supply assurance in partnership with the Above Market Planning Hub (AMP). The role requires effective management of issues and recovery plans with communication with key stakeholders. You will be coordinating colleagues, information, and processes and leveraging digital technologies to perform thorough data analysis in order to provide value for the business, support commercial strategies, and provide key insights to the Demand and Replenishment team.
Role Assignments
* Generate demand forecasts for assigned product portfolio across multiyear horizon. Become a key user of systems supporting this process and automate demand planning where possible, working in partnership with the Above Market Forecasting teams.
* Support the local S&OP process with cross-functional team participation to ensure mutual accountability, visibility and alignment on key decisions to ensure supply continuity.
* Partner with commercial, finance teams and if appropriate, senior demand planners to analyse and highlight the major gaps between unit and financial forecast and identify alignment actions.
* Partner with Above Market Planning to ensure continuous supply and escalation of supply issues to deliver recovery plans.
* Manage and convey supply issues to local cross-functional teams and contribute to Drug Shortage reporting to Board of Health and Government Agencies as needed.
* Monitor performance against KPIs (Forecast Error/Bias, inventory $/Months on Hand (inventory), write-offs, statistical forecast adherence, etc).
* Review tender submissions and documentation in a timely manner. Co-ordinate with AMP hub to ensure ability to meet additional demands and increase forecasts as necessary. Highlight any delays or barriers to meeting tender commitments.
A placement year in the UK Demand and Replenishment team provides excellent industrial experience and practical use of supply chain information systems and demand planning tools to see exactly what it takes to run a successful supply chain. You will enjoy working with systems and data but also have an attitude to get involved and get things done. Every day will bring a different opportunity.

Type of person we are looking for:
* Completing placement as part of University Degree either through Year In Industry/Industrial Placement or Gap Year.
* Teamwork: you will be joining an established and experienced team, sharing information and supporting other team members will be key.
* Fast learner: ease in apprehending new concepts and ways of working in unfamiliar environments.
* Self-starter: able to self-direct with limited guidance.
* Creative: has the ability to come up with novel ideas.
* Digitally literate: comfortable with common digital communication tools/systems and quick to learn how to use new digital tools.
* Good communicator: capable of interacting with stakeholders at different levels of seniority in a clear, concise, and specific way.
