An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Psychologist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Dorking, Surrey area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers.
This mental hospital provides acute mental health service along with a 3-bedded step-down, community-focused ward. The service supports males of working age, experiencing an acute mental health episode, providing the necessary levels of care required during crises.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a degree in Psychology and be registered with the HCPC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions to clients and their families, as well as offering indirect clinical services such as advice and consultation to colleagues and other professionals.
2. Contribute towards the development and ongoing offer of the IROC service, which will include identifying need and participating in development planning.
3. Support staff supervision and facilitate client-related work undertaken by other team members.
4. Be involved in the development and delivery of a range of training to staff and other stakeholders/professionals as required.
5. Support the development of research and evaluation processes.
6. Ensure Clinical Governance and operational policies are adhered to while working autonomously as required.
7. Ensure all aspects relating to Continuing Professional Development are met in order to maintain clinical registration.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. Demonstrable previous professional practice experience.
2. Strong interpersonal skills.
3. Additional expertise such as DBT and CBT.
4. Skills in individual and group work and in program planning.
5. Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, complex, highly technical, and/or clinically sensitive information.
The successful Senior Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of GBP58,000 pro rata. This exciting position is a permanent part-time role working 22.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
