As the ongoing expansion continues nationally - this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Depot Manager to lead the brand new operations in Bradford. With a new site ready to open, there will be no end of projects to get stuck into, leading the teams, building performance and driving the values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be an effective and inspiring leader - championing a positive culture and delivering high standards.
* Structure the teams to deliver KPIs on sales, profit, stock availability, costs, customer satisfaction and H&S.
* Review branch performance, always adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
* Ensure compliance in all aspects across the site - invoices, GDPR, vehicles, HSE.
* Utilise your knowledge of the local market to understand our competitors and customers challenges - always driving improvements and doing it right the first time.
* Manage the cost contre and payroll within budget.
* Agree targets and monitor employee performance - ensure that your teams feel valued and are appropriately supported to deliver the best service.
* Work collaboratively across the regional network to provide a seamless solution to all customers.
* Drive sales and profitability within the teams.
* Champion HSQE at all times.
* Oversight of all operations, ensuring the depot is running smoothly.
To Be Successful:
* Natural planner and problem solver - mitigate any risks and learn from challenges.
* Genuine team-player who can lead by example.
* Exceptionally organised and able to work to strict deadlines.
* Previous experience as a Depot Manager or Operations, within the plant hire or construction industry.
* Financial & budget management skills.
* Flexibility to travel to other sites as needed.
* Ability to influence and challenge, thinking outside the box.
* Demonstrable experience in building revenue streams.
