Ashton Recruitment is hiring a Forklift Driver for our client based in Belfast Harbour. Our client offers a great working environment along with various training opportunities to upskill. This position will be full time with a view of becoming permanent after a 12-week probationary period.
Location: Belfast Harbour
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Rate of Pay: £13.10 per hour
Overtime: £16.01 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Operating various sizes of forklifts (Training provided)
2. Unloading steel from ships
3. Loading and off-loading steel trailers for customer transportation
4. General stevedoring duties as required
5. Adhering to all health and safety procedures as set out by the client
6. Flexibility to work around the client's requirements as overtime may be required
7. Valid Counterbalance License
8. Previous logistical or warehouse experience
9. The desire to train on other various types of machinery including operating a combi lift.
