Job summary
Parkfield Medical Centre in Potters Bar is looking to recruit an enthusiastic practice nurse to join our supportive and friendly team on a part-time basis for 20-25 hours per week.
The practice nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing personal medical services to the patients of practice.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the partners.
2. Chronic disease management.
3. Immunisation / vaccination (including childhood immunisation).
4. Womens health and contraception.
5. Wound care.
6. Travel health.
7. ECGs.
8. Ear irrigation.
9. Assisting GPs with minor surgery and IUCD fittings.

We are a large (13,000+ patients), progressive, busy EmisWeb practice with high QoF achievement. We have 4 partners, 4 salaried GPs and nursing team which currently consists of a nurse matron, nursing associate, practice nurses, paramedic and HCA. We are supported by a very large administration team.
We operate from modern, purpose-built premises with excellent transport links to London, Hertfordshire and beyond. We are an established training practice for East of England VTS scheme and Cambridge Medical School undergraduates. We have a highly engaged patient participation group of over 2,000 members.
