Kameo Recruitment is sourcing for a commercially focused and sales driven General Manager to join a small and successful business based north of Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have the expertise and determination to manage the day-to-day business operations and drive improvements whilst provide direction and support across the company’s key functions which include scientific/technical sales, marketing, customer support, finance, HR and logistics.
Teamwork is key to the success of this company and therefore my client is looking for a General Manager who understands the importance of leading a highly motivated team that is focussed on driving for results.
Duties & Responsibilities of the General Manager:
* Be responsible for overall profitability and growth of the company as well as acting as support and an escalation point for all colleagues when required.
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and support for all colleagues.
* Liaise with and manage external partners (Finance Director, accountants, HR & IT support)
* Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process with regular checks on progress.
* Provide commercial knowledge and support across the business which includes, customer contracts, negotiations, tender submissions and supplier relationships.
* Work in close partnership with the Sales Director and manage the operational performance of the Sales team.
