We are now seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our small HR team at our Brunswick (NE13) head office. This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity starting from 1st March 2025 or before. This is an on-site, full time, fixed term position working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary, and the opportunity to work with a caring, family run firm.
As HR Administrator you will be responsible for delivering a seamless and efficient operational service to all areas of the business, through the provision of effective first line advice and guidance to all our employees.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide an efficient administrative support service for HR, ensuring a fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
* Liaise closely with the Operational Manager across all depots, ensuring that the on-boarding and inductions of new employees is effective, and training plans are completed in a timely manner.
* Organising travel and accommodation for new employees.
* Provides first line advice, guidance and coaching to line managers for all matters relating to the full employee lifecycle, escalating complex or high-risk cases to the People Director.
* Responsibility for the completion of people related changes, including changes to Terms and Conditions.
* Maintenance of our HRIS (People HR) keeping all information up to date and accurate.
* Collating monthly payroll data and working with our finance team to ensure accurate payroll operations.
* Responsibility for obtaining DBS/Driving Licence checks.
* Managing and ordering uniform and PPE stock for new and existing staff.
* Liaising with line managers for long term sickness and management referral cases.
* Provide support with site initiatives such as engagement initiatives, survey responses etc.
