About The Role
As a Teacher of Maths, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Mathematics across different Key Stages. You will have the opportunity to inspire students to develop a love for Maths while ensuring they acquire the knowledge and skills required to succeed in their exams and future studies. You will play an important role in helping students build confidence in their mathematical abilities and guide them through the curriculum.
What you have to do as a Teacher of Maths:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
* Use a range of teaching strategies to ensure all students are actively engaged and able to grasp mathematical concepts.
* Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to aid their learning.
* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Provide additional support to students as needed, ensuring they reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with other members of the teaching team to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
* Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extra-curricular activities and school events.
* Ensure that all safeguarding and child protection policies are adhered to.
Mathematics Teacher Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
* Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level is desirable.
* Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and effective teaching methods.
* Ability to engage and inspire students in Maths.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to students' academic progress.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
