Curriculum Leader Vacancy for Preparing for Adulthood & RSHE
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and organised individual to join our leadership team as a Curriculum Leader. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, friendly, adaptable, and dependable, with experience in educational leadership.
In this role you will be responsible for RSHE planning and monitoring across the school.
Currently the 6th form students follow a number of ASDAN short accredited courses and ASDAN qualifications, you will be responsible for liaising with a number of teachers to disseminate information from ASDAN and support staff in completing the necessary evidence for Student portfolios.
In addition to the above you would also work with the Senior Leader for Curriculum and Assessment to monitor and moderate student portfolio’s in line with the ASDAN criteria (previous experience in this area would be desirable).
Duties will include:
Leading by example as a teacher and manager, achieving high standards of pupil attainment, behaviour, and motivation through effective teaching, monitoring of progress, and recording of data.
Raising standards and achievement by focusing on developing a curriculum that is aspiration whilst also meeting our students' needs.
Supporting teachers in their classrooms to deliver interesting, accessible lessons that engage and motivate our pupils to learn.
Leadership and Management:
Making a contribution to the Middle Leadership Group.
Leading and motivating others and generating effective working relationships at all levels.
Maximising the contribution of staff to improve the quality of education provided and standards achieved.
Modelling the highest professional standards to staff and students in all aspects of the role.
Taking on specific tasks related to day-to-day administration and organisation of the school as requested.
Engaging with appropriate training opportunities to promote professional effectiveness in the role.
Monitoring and evaluating the quality of student work and the delivery of lessons through book scrutiny’s and learning walks.
Keeping up to date with the national guidance within you subject areas.
Whole School:
Keeping up with, acting on, and implementing as appropriate, national, local, and school agendas.
Contributing to the annual calendar and cycle of events.
Ensuring safeguarding is the highest priority.
Attending meetings in and out of school hours as required.
Being aware of and supporting differences to help ensure that everyone has equal access to the services of the school and feels valued, respecting their social, cultural, linguistic, religious, and ethnic background.
