With a competitive annual salary of £17,500 to £19,500, this is your chance to shine About the Role As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be a key player in supporting students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You'll work in the classroom, assisting students with their work and helping to create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time role, working from 8:30am to 3:15pm, and you will be an integral part of the welfare team. Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Assistant Engage and inspire students with SEMH needs in the classroom, ensuring they stay focused and on task with their learning activities. Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor and record students' progress, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Requirements of Behaviour Support Assistant Experience working with secondary school students, particularly those with SEMH needs, is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and colleagues. Ability to manage challenging behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings and with various age groups. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. Why Join Us?
