To direct best practice in building physics and performance modelling throughout the business, we are now looking for enthusiastic Building Physicists at intermediate level to contribute to our predictive energy modelling work within the Building Services discipline across the UK. We have an ever-increasing portfolio of clients looking to better understand how to make the most of their buildings in operation and we are looking for talented individuals with experience of detailed HVAC component level modelling and delivering NABERS UK assessments.

Working as part of a team, you will be expected to manage your own project work, and to be technically proficient in IES and SAP.

Your key attributes and responsibilities will be:
1. Assist with the production of energy strategies for planning applications (including GLA), carrying out Part L compliance assessments using IES or SAP
2. Help model operational energy use within buildings to limit the energy performance gap, including accreditation with NABERS UK
3. Stay up to speed in all relevant regulation
4. Be able to work using your own initiative with supervision
5. Demonstrate good attention to detail and show pride in the work produced
6. Have an ability to present your work succinctly to others, to inspire the confidence of design teams and clients, and then use this to strengthen internal and external relationships
7. Have a keen interest in or experience using digital and parametric design tools. We seek engineers that fit with our culture and have an interest or experience in working digitally by coding, working in IESVE/Grasshopper
Your starting point for constant growth
1. Being a qualified Engineer having a proven and demonstrable track record in their discipline
2. Have proven experience in all aspects of building physics, including building energy modelling and compliance analysis using IES or SAP
3. Have a good knowledge of passive design, LZC technologies and 'net zero', and use this to influence all aspects of building design
4. Having a CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree
5. To have achieved or working towards IEng or CEng status
