Role Overview
The Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in managing day-to-day operations and supporting business growth. This individual will handle customer enquiries, book jobs, assign work to teams, and oversee the performance and discipline of the workforce. Additionally, the role includes marketing responsibilities, liaising with the business owner, and producing operational reports. This is a long-term position with growth potential, suitable for someone looking to immerse themselves in all aspects of our business.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Management:
1. Handle incoming customer enquiries via phone, email, and website.
2. Book jobs in the system and provide scheduling information to clients.
3. Assign jobs to 2-man teams, ensuring efficient routing and productivity.
4. Manage team performance, address disciplinary issues, and ensure team accountability.
5. Handle customer payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Team Coordination:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for the teams during the day.
2. Lead a team of drivers.
3. Plan and route job schedules.
4. Resolve operational challenges.
5. Address on-the-job issues and provide guidance as needed.
6. Monitor team performance metrics and provide feedback to improve outcomes.
Marketing and Reporting:
1. Assist with marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and social media management.
2. Liaise with the business owner to develop and execute growth strategies.
3. Prepare and present regular operational and performance reports.
Business Continuity:
Serve as the go-to person for all aspects of operations when other staff are on leave.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Proven experience in operations, team management, or a similar role.
2. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency with booking systems and basic office software (e.g., MS Office, CRM tools).
5. Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
6. Marketing experience or willingness to learn marketing tools and techniques.
7. Leadership qualities with the ability to handle disciplinary matters constructively.
8. Adaptable, reliable, and eager to grow with the company.

Week A: Tuesday to Saturday
Week B: Monday - Friday
Salary: £24,500 - £26,060
Occasional Bank Holiday Paid Extra
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £23,096.00-£26,745.00 per year
