Job Description: The Valve Technician will carry out overhauls, tests and recertification on different types of valves and actuators.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
* Overhaul and recertification of relief valves, isolation valves, control valves, actuators and ancillary equipment.
* Troubleshooting and problem solving of all valve and actuator issues.
* Provide core competence in use of valve flushing and sealant injection services, torque and tensioning equipment.
* Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments on all related work scopes.
* Provide technical support to all valve workshop teams.
* Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
* Plan and coordinate project or shutdown work as required.
* Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports of equipment.
* Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly.
* Responsible for general housekeeping within and surrounding the department.
* Experience in an engineering background.
* NVQ Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline is preferred.
* Accurate and quality-conscious attitude towards all aspects of the role.
* Strong problem solving and planning skills are essential.
* Ability to work as part of a team within the workshop and wider business.
* Able to share ideas with team and seek advice when required.
