Deputy Site Lead/Clinical Lead for General Radiography

Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we are seeking a dynamic leader capable of delivering exemplary patient-centered care. The post holder must be strongly aligned with the importance of developing positive cultures within their modality and developing working practices in line with the latest guidance and research.
The radiology department in Withybush Hospital serves the county of Pembrokeshire, dealing with a variety of patients from A&E, Same Day Emergency Care, Inpatients, Outpatient clinics, Theatres, and GPs.
We have benefited from Welsh Government funding to upgrade much of the imaging equipment. Within the general area, this includes two new Samsung DR rooms and DR mobiles, OPG, and two new image intensifiers. In addition to this, we have a fluoroscopy unit and a 3rd DR unit on order. As a whole, the general department comprises of 2 general X-ray rooms, a mammography room, an A&E room, and fluoroscopy.
The department is busy, operating a 24/7 service with an on-call rota covering evenings and weekends. The post holder would need to have excellent knowledge of IRMER and QA. Previous experience within a senior radiographic role, management, or significant experience as a general radiographer would be advantageous.
Main Duties of the Job
Duties include staff management of the general radiography workforce and will involve addressing the daily operational needs of the team, PADR, rota management, supervision, and training of staff and students.
The role requires strong clinical leadership and complex decision-making, particularly when deputizing for the Site Superintendent Radiographer.
The post holder will also be attuned to the latest research and evidence-based developments to support service improvements, in line with the strategic direction of the department.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent diploma State registration
* HCPC registration
* Knowledge of IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR 2017
* PG Diploma/M level module in further imaging modalities/reporting of radiographic images
* Postgraduate study in an area relevant to the post.
Experience
* Experience in a senior radiographic role in a supervisory capacity.
* Advanced clinical experience.
* Continuous professional development in radiography, substantiated by personal portfolio.
* Use of PACS/RIS and CR systems at key user level.
* Wide experience of senior radiography/junior management.
* Previous experience as RPS.
Other
* Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
* Flexible approach to the needs of the service.
Language Skills
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1).
