Job Description
CRC Evans is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Planning Specialist to support the efficient planning of projects and operations. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate data preparation, reporting, and decision-making processes for managing multiple global projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Planning: Ensure business planning procedures, guidelines, and processes are consistently followed, enhanced, and fulfilled.
* Reporting: Review and update various reports and schedules using Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
* Liaison: Serve as a key liaison to coordinate and update departmental planning tools in line with project schedules, as directed by your line manager.
* Updates: Collect updates from different departments, integrate them into in-house systems, and ensure reports reflect accurate and current information.
* Database Management: Maintain and manage the project database with up-to-date details.
* Training: Apply and learn planning and scheduling techniques, with a focus on Microsoft Project.
* Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly reports across different project schedules, programs, and in-house reporting systems.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
* Reporting: Review and update different reports and schedules using Excel and Power BI.
* System Development: Understand and further develop existing systems through advanced Excel capabilities.
* Liaison: Regularly liaise with departments to gather updates and incorporate changes into planning tools and reports.
Requirements:
* Educational Background: Completed coursework in project management, business administration.
* Certification: Preferable Level 2/3 Certificate in IT Essentials.
* General Education: Strong general education with GCSE in Maths & English (grades A-C).
* Experience: Solid experience in a project management function, such as planner, document controller, administrative assistant, or project coordinator.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
* Prioritization Skills: Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Learning Ability: Willingness to learn and a passion for project planning and reporting.
* Skills: Excellent Communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
* IT Skills: Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel, and Word.
* Excel Skills: Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to review, update, and further develop existing systems (VBA).
* Microsoft Project and Power BI: Intermediate to Professional in Microsoft Project, and Power BI.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
* Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
