About the Role
Join our team as an Environmental Degree Apprentice and kickstart a career in environmental management within the food manufacturing industry. Based at our pork manufacturing site in Watton, Norfolk, you'll work to support our sustainability goals, helping to drive initiatives that reduce environmental impact and support responsible production practices. As you gain hands-on experience, you'll work toward a Level 6 Environmental Practitioner Degree in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University.
This apprenticeship will give you the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive impact in food production, contributing to our environmental objectives while preparing for a future in environmental management.

What You'll Be Doing
As an Environmental Degree Apprentice, you'll play a key role in supporting our sustainability team to implement effective environmental practices across our pork manufacturing site. Key responsibilities include:
1. Environmental Monitoring: Assist in tracking and reporting key environmental metrics, including waste reduction, energy usage, and water conservation.
2. Sustainability Initiatives: Support projects aimed at reducing the site's environmental footprint, helping Cranswick meet its sustainability targets.
3. Compliance and Audits: Help ensure that our operations comply with environmental regulations, preparing for and participating in environmental audits.
4. Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyse data to identify areas for improvement, presenting findings to guide decision-making on sustainability.
5. Team Collaboration: Work alongside site teams and management to promote environmentally responsible practices and to increase awareness about sustainability.
