Our client, who is a trusted partner of the Ministry of Defence in the UK, are in search of a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Operator. As a valuable member of the Manufacturing Team, the operator will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults in bespoke cabling according to drawing specifications. This is a full-time position that offers the potential for a contract extension or permanent employment and is based on-site.
What we're looking for:
1. To be considered, it is required that you have finished a technical engineering or craft apprenticeship. As evidence of completion, you must provide a copy of your certificate. Please meet this requirement to avoid disqualification.
2. "Approved Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship Framework/Modern Apprenticeship
3. Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3"
4. Or "Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3"
5. Or "Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNCIPC 620 & Dynamic"
6. IPC620 & Cabling certified Required/ trained preferred.
7. Prior experience in electrical wiring, maintenance, and assembly, as well as in the aerospace or defence industry, would be advantageous.
8. SAP experience and familiarity with Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) must be present.
What you'll get to do as an Electrical Calibration and Maintenance Operator:
The ideal candidate will perform various tasks such as fault-finding and repairing cable assemblies, surface mount repair on CCAs, and troubleshooting and repairing test/measurement equipment. They will also assist with maintaining manufacturing aids, conduct PAT testing, examine drawings, and perform safety systems testing of Test & Measuring equipment. Additionally, they will provide technical support to help with the smooth servicing of STTE. The candidate should maintain excellent workspace husbandry and tool control practices.
