The Role
As a Senior HR Specialist at Clayton Glass, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR function across a range of processes. Reporting to the HR & IT Process Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of effective HR strategies, ensuring the smooth operation of our HR systems and processes.
Your responsibilities will include employee relations, providing guidance on policies, and ensuring compliance with UK employment laws and regulations. You will maintain accurate employee records, support HR system improvements, and contribute to engagement initiatives that enhance workplace culture. Additionally, you may be involved in policy development, training coordination, and HR reporting, using data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Working closely with managers and employees, you will be a trusted point of contact for HR-related queries, helping to foster a positive, compliant, and supportive work environment that aligns with Clayton Glass' values.
Minimum Requirements
* HR Knowledge and Experience: Previous experience in HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations, with a good understanding of UK employment laws and regulations.
* 2 + years’ work experience within a HR setting
* Qualifications: A Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent.
* Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to build relationships and handle sensitive situations professionally.
* Organisational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in documentation and data management.
* IT Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Desirable [Non-Essential] Criteria:
* Advanced HR Knowledge: Progression toward CIPD Level 5 or involvement in small HR projects like engagement initiatives.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data for reports and insights.
* HR Systems and Processes: Experience in implementing or improving HR workflows and systems.
* Training and Development: Exposure to organising or delivering training sessions.
* Wider knowledge: Previous collaborative experience of implementing HR initiatives and strategies [for example policy writing, responding to changes in Employment Law, and workplace improvements]
