Talocher School are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team to cover maternity leave until August 2025. We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed LSAs/Teaching Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

Talocher School offers a very broad and flexible curriculum, based around the interest of each learner and helping them to achieve their best outcomes. Learning takes place inside the classroom and outside and tries where possible to incorporate the world of work. There are many additional vocational learning opportunities which include agriculture and construction. Forest schools, horticulture and numerous outdoor education support the learning and needs of pupils with SEMH or ASC needs.
Talocher School offers a very range of outdoor and offsite activities, animal care, Catering, Forest Skill, BTEC PSD, LANTRA Forklift training L1, Rural Tractor Driving certificates L1, prep for CSCS card, Canine care L1, Bicycle repair L1, Construction skills L1, Food Safety and Woodworking etc. There are many other vocational course available.
