2 x Health Records Clerical Officer - Band 2 - Fixed Term Contracts
37.5 hours per week working Monday - Friday 8 am - 5pm (job share may be considered)
Do you have a keen eye for detail and accuracy? Are you good with people and able to demonstrate excellent communication skills? If so, we would like to hear from you.
We have a number of 12 month fixed term contracts for Clerical Officers to join our Loose Filing Team. The successful applicants will support with the preparation of files for scanning, and quality audit of the files once scanned.
Main duties of the job
Duties include:
* Accurate preparation of patient documentation ready for scanning.
* Scanning patient information into our EDMS.
* Recording an accurate count of files and documents prepared for processing.
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook.
* Identifying and processing of physical content ready for filing.
* Participating in department quality control processes.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Good standard level of education (2 GCSEs or equivalent – preferably English and Maths).
* NVQ level 2 in Customer Service (or equivalent).
Knowledge and Skills
* Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection issues.
* Excellent keyboard, IT and administrative skills.
* Numeracy skills and attention to detail.
* Good customer care and verbal communication skills.
* Lifting and manual handling techniques.
Experience
* Dealing with patients/general public face to face or working in a customer-focused environment.
* Using MS Office and other Information systems/Patient Administration System (desirable) to input and update personal data.
* Working as part of a team in a busy environment.
