Directly Responsible to: Senior Cook Hours of Duty: 25 hours per week (5 hours per day 9.00am - 2.00pm) Closing Date: Monday, 30 th September 2024 Interview Date: Wednesday, 9 th October 2024 Qualifications Required: Must possess or be able to undertake and obtain Basic Food Hygiene Certificate within 6 months of appointment to the post. Assisting and supporting the Senior Cook in the efficient and effective operation of a quality school catering service to achieve set standards. Food preparation and cooking activities including the preparation, and serving of meals and beverages and the organisation of service points. Responsibility for monitoring and maintaining portion control. To assist the Senior Cook in the marketing of the catering service. To deputise for the Senior Cook in his/her absence ensuring that a quality catering service is maintained. To assist in the maintenance of a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety in the kitchen and associated areas. To assist the Senior Cook in the maintenance of the HACCP system and documentation, ensuring that this is maintained in his/hers absence. General kitchen and dining room activities.
