Quality Engineer
Are you a Quality Inspector or hands-on Quality Administrator, looking to step up in your career? Do you prefer being hands-on, making a real impact on product quality as opposed to being stuck behind a computer screen? How would you like a role where you finish at lunchtime on a Friday, every Friday?
Established over 100 years ago, our client is an industry leader in the fabrication and equipment manufacturing sector across areas such as aerospace, rail, maritime, and marine, currently on the lookout for a Quality Engineer to join their team.
All applicants must be happy reading technical drawings/diagrams, have worked in machine shops or fabrication, and have 3 years' experience in a practical, hands-on quality inspection role where you have used equipment such as Verniers, Micrometers, CMM, and Shadowgraphs. You won't need to have experience with I.S.R and F.A.I inspection, but practical, hands-on skills are imperative.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role will see you work closely with the production and engineering teams providing information to help solve any problems that arise. In this role, you will be responsible for the regular inspections of inward components and materials, raising rejection notices on suppliers, and driving quality within the department to ensure products are reliable and safe for customers.
This opportunity sits within an expanding team at a growing engineering company, and you can expect to work within a passionate and dedicated organisation. Due to the location of this role, approximate commutable locations for this opportunity are Saffron Walden, Bishops Stortford, Stansted, Cambridge, Newmarket, Great Chesterford, Shelford, Sawston, and the surrounding areas.
