Job summary
Heacham Group Practice has an opportunity for a senior administratorto join our team on a part or full time basis. Hours can be between 30 and per week.
The post-holder will be part of our multi-disciplinary, primary-care team and contribute to the smooth running of the practice, supporting the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager.
Main duties of the job
1. Overseeing the incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence including clinical coding of data in patients records. Supporting General Practice Assistants to ensure that this is carried out in a timely manner.
2. Assisting with QOF and recall systems to ensure patients are brought in for investigations and reviews appropriately.
3. Overseeing and monitor patient registrations and deductions including online registrations.
4. Point of contact for online access requests and queries for the Practice.
5. Assisting with funding claims for the Practice.
6. Run regular Ardens searches to ensure patients are recalled appropriately and records are coded correctly. Including tasking other clinicians to advise them of work to be done.
7. IT and Smartcard Lead for the Practice.
8. Cytology administration
9. Updating Gold Standard Framework spreadsheet and attend monthly meetings.
10. Assist with Audit work.
11. Assisting with practice tasks.
12. Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as required.
About us
We are a small friendly GP practice with two surgeries at Heacham and Snettisham serving approximately 7,500 patients.
Our clinical team includes 3 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs and a very skilled nursing team including nurse practitioners, specialist nurses and HCAs.
We are a training practice for GP registrars. We are offering a salary depending on experience and NHS pension.

13. An experienced administrator, with excellent IT and organisational skills.
14. Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner.
15. Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
16. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
17. Knowledge of medical terminology
18. Experience of clinical coding
Desirable
19. Primary care experience is desirable but not essential.
