Job summary A4 is an acute surgical ward, for up to 35 patients, males and female, with patients ranging from age 18 upwards. A4 covers all aspects of the surgical pathway, ranging from ENT, urology, UGI, colorectal and breast. The role of Healthcare support worker is to work alongside the nurses and support with clinical aspects of a patients care journey. Please note the hours for this vacancy are 34.5 hours per week. Main duties of the job Assist with hydration and nutrition of patients as required. Assisting with personal care as required. Assist with cleaning and tidying, and maintaining the cleanliness of the ward. To assist the nursing staff with activities such as taking and recording baseline and post treatment observations; highlighting areas of concern to the nurse in charge.
