Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to come and work within the Tees Crisis Triage and Assessment Team at Roseberry Park Hospital. The team provides 24 hour crisis services to anyone aged over 18 years within the Teesside area.
This is a band 6 post open to registered nurses, occupational therapists and social workers with current relevant registration with the NMC, HCPC or GSCC.
The team operates over 24 hours, 7 days a week, 12 hour shift pattern.
Full and part time hours available and 2 x secondment or fixed term opportunities are also available.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with a mental health crisis. Applicants should be highly motivated, have the ability to act on own initiative and have sound assessment and written skills.
The post holder will be responsible for the clinical leadership of more junior members of the team, prioritising workload and utilising resources appropriately to ensure that service user needs are met. The team is also responsible for gate keeping admissions to the acute admission wards.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

1. Current professional registration with an approved professional body.
2. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
3. For registered nurses: MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education. Must be achieved within agreed timescale.
4. Clinical Supervisor.
5. Recognised sign-off mentor, clinical educator or equivalent. Must be achieved within agreed timescale.
6. Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
7. 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework)
