The Role
The Operative Ranger is the frontline face of our open spaces and critical to ensuring a safe, welcoming customer experience to all users and maintaining the high standards required for the Green Flag Award and other nationally recognised standards. The Operative Ranger will support existing teams to keep the parks clean and safe, engage with visitors and community groups, maintain sports pitches and facilities, and support events across the department.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have a full clean driving licence, a good understanding of Health & Safety within a work environment, and the relevant certification to operate machinery and tools. You will have demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced open spaces environment, good communication skills, and the ability to follow company policies and procedures. You show initiative, work well in a team, and are flexible, calm under pressure with a can-do approach to working outdoors.
