The Opportunity
The Head of Sales and Operations will agree, lead and develop the strategy, management and reporting of all sales activities in line with the business plan and future growth requirements. They will identify and define requirements for improving processes and systems, reducing their costs and enhance their sustainability along with the quantification of potential business benefits whilst working with the Managing Director to form and execute a cohesive sales strategy.
The role will involve:
13. Working with colleagues to identify key product and service propositions with specific regard to OSD’s market segments.
14. Developing a transparent prospect, target and customer sales process, directing and leading the sales team to achieve budgeted results.
15. Overall management of the sales team to bring effective leadership and communication of the business sales strategy and ensuring the effective management, compliance, control and deployment of the sales team, promoting a customer focused culture.
16. Working with Marketing colleagues on the necessary activity required to underpin delivery of business strategy and tactical objectives in positioning OSD within the market.
About You
The Head of Sales and Operations will be an experienced business to business (B2B) sales leader able to expand and shape a dynamic, high-performing, engaged and motivated sales team. You will have a strategic vision with a track record in new business development. You will also have:
17. A sound understanding/knowledge of the legal/financial/property/professional services sectors
18. Previous experience of developing sales strategy and process
19. Awareness of both transactional and solution sales techniques
20. Extensive financial/commercial awareness & technical knowledge
21. Excellent communication and presentation skills
22. Extensive knowledge and experience of budget preparation and the ability to manage
23. Experienced in operating at senior management team/Board level
24. Salesforce or similar Enterprise CRM/commercial platform experience for optimising sales and performance
25. Performance management experience
26. Strong customer focus
