We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join an aspiring and professional company based in Leeds. This is an ideal role for a Transport Planner who is highly organised and conscientious.
The role of the Transport Planner involves:
1. Answering and directing all calls into the business or message taking
2. Dealing with customer enquiries
3. Dealing with quotes
4. Data entry
5. Confirming tasks and liaising with drivers to ensure a successful completion of tasks
6. Dealing with the sales function to fulfil customer requirements
7. Liaising with vehicle providers to address maintenance and availability requirements
8. Issuing weekly/daily workloads and instructions to the driving team
9. Managing drivers on their future tasks and daily workloads
10. Addressing delays or any problems with deliveries
11. Handling all administrative duties
The Transport Planner position will suit a person with the following skills:
1. Professional and organized with excellent communication skills
2. Experienced in customer service and troubleshooting
3. Excellent telephone manner
4. Excellent IT skills and FLT skills
5. Able to work on own initiative
6. Hold a driving licence (minimum Cat B)
7. Holding a FLT licence is desirable (minimum Counter-Balance)
Hours of work are 7.45am-6pm Monday to Friday (you may be required to work the occasional weekends).
Salary is between £19-£23 dependent on experience.
