We are expanding our Litigation team to support the acquisition of a major new contract. The Senior Operational Compliance Manager is a pivotal new role and will manage the Customer Solutions Team and ensure all activities are carried out within the framework agreed and FCA adherence rules. You will be a key player in managing this significant new contract and providing sound advice and leadership to the team and our client, a major retail bank.
Overseeing adherence to the FCA’s rules, including the requirements set out in MCOB and the Consumer Duty and regulatory guidance issued by the FCA/ industry bodies in relation to the mortgage servicing activities, as well as client SLAs.
Leading the ongoing reviews of the Firm’s procedures, policies and controls in accordance with the risk-based Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring Plan, Lightfoots’ Core Values, as well as client SLAs.
Ensuring required ongoing staff competence and awareness in key regulatory areas through a combination of training formats, performance reviews, supervision, and feedback meetings as necessary.
Managing (in conjunction with the Head of Ethics and Compliance) escalations received per client SLAs and the Firm’s policies and procedures, including customer complaints, vulnerable customers, and exceptions to client mandates.
Providing ongoing advice/guidance to management and staff on regulatory and compliance matters.
Significant proven experience of working in senior management roles within the FCA regulated banks or non-bank mortgage lenders.
Minimum CeMAP Level 2 Qualified is essential.
Sound knowledge of the FCA’s regulatory framework, especially MCOB, SYSC, Principles for Businesses (including Consumer Duty) and associated statutory provisions.
Good understanding of the mortgage market sector including industry practice in relation to mortgage lending and administration.
