Payroll Administrator - MaidenheadDue to changes in the team the position of Payroll Administrator has become available to join our successful team.
This role provides a professional and customer focussed Payroll Service to all Costain employees ensuring an accurate and on time payroll in line with Corporate Policy & Processes and relevant external Legislation.
• Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
• Carry out end-to-end payroll processing for a weekly (c250 employees) and a monthly (c3500 employees) payrollProcess employee timesheets and work closely with site accountants and admin teams to ensure an accurate weekly payroll
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including allowances and deduction, tax codes, garnishments such as child support payments, court orders, and pensions in Oracle payroll module
• Process statutory payments such as SMP and SSP, complete forms for DWP where appropriate
• Process employee benefit and pension schemes
• Process third party payments through Oracle
• Ensure compliance with HMRC & filing RTI returns
• Foster communication and collaboration between various departments including HR and Finance to ensure accuracy
• Support payroll reporting and reconciliation including preparing reports for management
• Provide Tier 2 support to People Manager and Employees on payroll & benefit queries both over the phone, and electronically, escalating to the Payroll Manager or Reward team where necessary
• Add-hoc payroll or other administrative duties as required.
• Maintain all standard employment correspondence, documentation and employee HR files in line with company policy and UK legislation changes, including GDPR.
• Ensuring processes remain lean, compliant and in line with company policy and applicable legislation.

Role Requirements
• Proven understanding of payroll process and UK payroll legislation including of National Minimum Wage and Average Holiday Pay
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail with strong numeracy skills
• Proficient with relevant MS Office Suite applications including Excel V-Look ups and other formulas
