You will be required to get the aircraft loaded and ready for departure using skills such as manual handling and driving of specialised equipment. (Training will be provided)
This job is physical and involves the loading of passengers' baggage, manoeuvring of ground equipment, and other general ground crew duties to ensure the aircraft departs on time.
This position would be ideal for a student, part-time worker, or someone looking for weekend or occasional hours. Below are the available hours:
You will be expected to:
* Service arriving and departing aircraft
* Carry out and account for baggage loading and unloading
* Drive or operate Ground Support Equipment and machinery
* Support the winter plan by driving mechanised equipment and manually clearing snow and spreading salt/grit on the airport lands, including car parks.
It is essential for the position that you:
* Hold a full driving licence
* Have 12 months of employment history within the UK
* Are a minimum of 18 years of age
These positions are ad hoc, covering hours such as those listed below:
* Monday – Friday: 0300-0700, 0300-1300
* Monday – Friday: 2100-0100
* Thursday: 0000 – 0600, 0000 – 02:30
* Friday: 2100 – 0100
* Saturday: 0300 – 0700, 0300 – 1400, 10:30 – 14:30
* Sunday: 0400-0800, 0345-1445, 1500-1900, 2300-0100
